Teen Patti tournaments have three main phases: early, mid and late stage. The mid-stage begins after several players are eliminated and blinds start rising. Mid-stage tournament play requires big adjustments from the loose style that works in the early rounds.

In the tournament mid-stage, the boot and blinds increase. These rising forced bets consume chip stacks faster. You can no longer wait patiently for only premium hands. If you fold every hand, your stack will shrink steadily from paying boots and blinds until you become short stacked.

Stack sizes become more important than ever. Players are divided into big stacks, medium stacks and short stacks. Big stacks can apply pressure and steal blinds from medium and short stacks. Medium stacks need to balance risk carefully. Short stacks must look for decent hands to move all-in before blinds eat their chips.

Opponent behaviour changes in mid-stage. Some players become tighter, trying to survive deeper into the tournament. Other short-stack players become desperate and push all-in with a wide range of hands. Do not call these all-ins with medium hands. Only call with premium holdings.

Blind stealing opportunities increase. Tight players will fold to raises to avoid elimination. Use late position to raise and steal blinds from cautious opponents. But avoid picking fights with big stacks, as they can call your raise and eliminate you.

Hand selection should tighten compared to early tournament play. Speculative hands are less profitable now because blinds are higher. You need stronger hands to justify entering pots. Marginal hands that were playable early should be folded in mid-stage.

Keep track of the number of remaining players. If you are approaching the bubble, survival becomes more valuable. Start shifting toward bubble strategy as you near payout positions.

Avoid unnecessary showdowns. Losing a single big pot in mid-stage can knock you out of the tournament. Only commit large chips when you are confident your hand is ahead.

Mid-stage tournament play balances aggression and survival. Steal blinds selectively, respect big stacks, watch rising boot costs and avoid reckless confrontations. These adjustments help you advance toward the tournament bubble.
